- In the tutorial they use 2 colors and skipped a space in between. For this one I did the same thing but I used 4 colors and did not skip a stitch in between
The one I'm putting on my current blanket (the second picture) is the same thing but I am using 3 colors. |

This is a simple border that gives a braided look. It is for decoration only and does not add any size to the piece. To do: sc in every stitch and slip stitch in between every stitch.

The Wave Border
Attach your color of
choice. Chain 3. Make one DC in every
stitch.
Chain 3 (counts as dc). Turn your work.Make one DC in each of the next 3 stitches. Chain 3 and turn your work. Sl st in the 3rd chain. Turn your work. Chain 3 (counts as dc). Make 4 more DC in the chain 3 space.
Wave Repeat *Locate your next stitch on the row below. Make a DC in that stitch and in the next 3 stitches. Chain 3 and turn your work. Sl st in the first stitch. Turn your work. Make 7 DC in the chain 3 space.*
Repeat the “wave repeat” section until you have reached the end of your blanket. To create the last wave:
Locate your next stitch on the row below. Make a DC in that stitch and in the next 3 stitches. Chain 3 and turn your work. Sl st in the first stitch. Turn your work. Make 5 DC in the chain 3 space.
Bind off and weave in your ends.

- Kerry Selig: I did a round of hdc with 3 hdc in the corners then a round of hdc then the last round Ch 1, SC in first st, *skip 1 st, 5 DC in next st, skip 1 st, 1 SC in next st; Rep from * to end, SC in last st (or turning ch, if you work in the turning chains). Fasten off.
